- A New Head Coach of the USA Men’s National team is now being advertised for ahead of a hugely important two years of cricket upcoming in 2023 and 2024
USA Cricket is today advertising for the position of the new Head Coach of the USA Men’s National Cricket Team.
The role is advertised with immediate effect and opens for applications from today, Wednesday, 7 December 2022 with a closing date for applications of Sunday, 18 December 2022.
Team USA’s next major challenge is at the six team ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off, which is scheduled to begin in late March 2023. This tournament will decide the final two places for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in June 2023 and it is critical that the new Head Coach is in place well in advance of this event to allow for as much preparation as possible.
The USA Cricket Board is looking for the right candidate to lead the USA Men’s team through the next phase of their development. The immediate goal is clearly to secure a place at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier for the first time since the ICC Trophy in 2005. The role’s broader goals though are to begin significant progress and uplift the quality of performances of the National Team in both ODI and T20I cricket building towards the next ICC Men’s T20 World Cup that will be staged in the USA and the West Indies in 2024.
