A 2nd thriller in 2 days as our hosts New South Wales Women just get the better of Team USA Women in the final over of a cracking contest at the Raby Oval in Sydney.
USA batted first again and compiled a healthy 113 for 8, the innings dominated by a fantastic 46 from Nadia Gruny. She shared in four decent partnerships for wickets 3 through 6, with the next best individual contribution being 18 from Uzma Iftekhar. The wickets were shared around the NSW bowlers, with Izzy Araras and Yardley Poisen finishing the most successful with 2 a piece.

The USA bowlers were able to take a couple of early wickets, and in so doing put pressure on the middle order of NSW. They responded well however, putting together a string of handy contributions throughout the middle overs initially helping them to consolidate, and then to drive towards victory. They were eventually able to sneak home with 4 balls to spare, and 4 wickets in hand.
Hayley Silver-Holmes top scored for the hosts with 27, ably assisted Hannah Darlington’s 23 at the top, while for the U.S. Bhaskar and Beckford took two wickets a piece.
#TeamUSA will be confident of ending the tour with a win as their performances have continued to improve throughout the tour, with their final match coming at 1.30pm local time (11.30pm EST) against a NSW Country Women’s XI at the legendary Bradman Oval in Bowral.
