A quite brilliant spell of left-arm pace bowling from Raj Vyas has given Team USA Under 19s the perfect start in their quest to qualify for the 2020 ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup as his spell of 7 for 10 has routed the Cayman Islands U19s for just 29 and helped to give USA a crushing 10 wicket win.
His figures of 7 for 10 are the best by any bowler at any level in USA colors and he showed why he is a star of the future to watch with a dominant all-round USA performance at the King City Ground in Toronto.
You can watch all 7 wickets in the package with an interview below.
Congrats to 17-year-old Indiana-born, Arizona-raised Raj Vyas. Raj took 7 for 10 on USA U19 debut, best 50-over figures for USA at any level. He wears #31 as a tribute to his dad, who passed away from a brain tumor in 2015. Raj’s mom flew from Arizona to Toronto to watch today. pic.twitter.com/oR9AnR0Sp8

The USA openers made quick work of the chase, taking just 10 legal deliveries to chase down the total and give USA a massive NRR boost in the process. In the day’s other game, Canada scored a comprehensive win over Bermuda.
Next up for USA is Bermuda on Tuesday with the same 10.30am local time start and every ball will be live-streamed with our partners at CricClubs via the USA Cricket YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/usacricket
