Team USA won their first ever Twenty20 International with a 10 run win on the Duckworth Lewis Stern method in Hamilton, Bermuda. After the morning game between Canada and hosts Bermuda was abandoned with 1 point each, USA were also battling the weather for much of the afternoon and after a delayed start there were several stoppages.
The pitch was taking plenty of turn, so much so that USA bowled 18 of their 20 overs with spinners and despite making slightly heavy weather of the chase, USA got the win by 10 runs on DLS as they were on the brink of chasing the Cayman Islands total of 68.
It moves USA to 3rd in the table in the Americas T20 World Cup Qualifier after the 2nd round of matches.
