#TeamUSA’s match against Afghanistan at the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier February 11th 2010 was a politically charged affair given the backdrop of America’s military engagements in Afghanistan at the time.
However, the match was played in great spirits between the two sides. Unfortunately, USA was comfortably beaten on the day, the 29-run loss essentially knocking them out of World T20 contention whilst Afghanistan went on to an historic first appearance at a global ICC event.
