USA Cricket is also proud to unveil its strategic priorities for the remainder of the year (see below). These initiatives reflect the organization’s commitment to the growth and development of cricket in the United States. With a focus on partnership building, strategic planning, and community engagement, USA Cricket recognizes that this is a critical juncture with an incredibly exciting 2024 on the horizon.
Details on how to attend the AGM, whether in person or remotely, will be provided to all members in due course.
We encourage all members to participate, stay informed, and actively engage in the future of cricket in the United States.

The ten strategic priorities for the remainder of 2023, which sit under three major categories, have been identified as follows…
STRATEGIC PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT:
1. Five-Year Strategy Development
To align with its vision for the next five years, and to build off the back of the organization’s Foundational Plan (2020-2023), USA Cricket has initiated the process of creating a comprehensive five-year strategy. This strategy will pave the way for the organization’s future growth and development. A draft of the strategy is set to be presented during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November (Date TBD).
2. Creation of 2024 Budget and Calendar
USA Cricket will put together a comprehensive domestic playing calendar and draft budget for 2024. These essential documents will be finalized and published during the AGM.
3. Constitution Review and Amendment
A dedicated Constitution Review Working Group (CRWG) has been appointed to review and recommend amendments to the constitution. This process will address key issues and gaps within the constitution. A draft constitution will be presented to members during the AGM, with the final version expected to be completed by the end of December 2023.
4. Membership and Scoring Portal Development
In response to the needs of USA Cricket, the organization is in the process of reevaluating and enhancing its membership portal. The portal must better serve and support the requirements of USA Cricket and its members. This improved portal is expected to be ready by 2024.
PARTNERSHIP BUILDING:
5. Engaging with ACE and Contract Finalization
USA Cricket is actively engaging with ACE and working diligently to finalize contract terms that will be beneficial to the organization. A dedicated three-member team comprising Venu Pisike, Pintoo Shah, and David Haubert has been appointed to lead discussions with ACE. The goal is to complete negotiations by October 31st, ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.
6. CWI Partnership and Collaboration with Cricket Canada
USA Cricket is actively progressing in its partnership discussions with Cricket West Indies (CWI), focusing on the 2024 T20 World Cup and long-term collaborations. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a longer-term partnership with Cricket Canada, which would enable both countries to host bilateral cricket events at senior and youth levels, including the revitalization of an annual Auty Cup competition.
PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION & DEVELOPMENT:
7. High-Performance Programs for National Teams
USA Cricket will develop and budget high-performance programs to support Men’s U19 and Senior teams in preparation for their respective World Cups in 2024. Similar programs will be designed for the Women’s team in preparation for the WC Global qualifiers.
8. Cricket Heroes Pilot Programs and Activator Trainings
USA Cricket is committed to the successful launch of the Cricket Heroes entry level program in strategic markets in 2024. To achieve this, the organization will be hiring Zonal Program Leads, conducting pilot programs and activator training by December to ensure a smooth rollout of this exciting initiative.
9. Completion of Domestic Pathway Tournaments
USA Cricket has now successfully completed the U15, U17, U19 and U23 domestic pathway tournaments. The Women’s U19 tournament is scheduled to follow from November 10-12 at PVCC.
10. Empowering HUBS/Zones for Local Cricket
Building upon the lessons learned from the establishment of HUBs in 2023, USA Cricket is working on an improved process and structure for 2024. This initiative aims to empower HUBs/Zones to manage all levels of local cricket, including Men, Women, and Youth cricket. Further details will be shared during the AGM.
Venu Pisike, Chair of the Board at USA Cricket, who recently traveled to a number of key locations around the country to speak to the cricket community about these priorities, stated… “We are excited to announce these strategic priorities that will guide our efforts for the remainder of 2023. These initiatives represent our commitment to fostering cricket’s growth in the United States and strengthening our partnerships in preparation for what is a critical and exciting year in 2024. With a clear vision and the continued support of staff, volunteers and the community, we look forward to making significant progress in the coming months.”
