In accordance with a recent decision of the USA Cricket Board (see here for more details), USA Cricket today launched the recruitment process for the role of Men’s National Team Head Coach.
The full job advert can be found here.
Announcing the launch of the process, USA Cricket Chief Executive, Iain Higgins, commented, “The decision to advertise for the role of Men’s National Team Head Coach represents the next step in the establishment of a management team and support staff capable of supporting the strategic direction of the Board and its Cricket Committee in order to provide the best possible professional environment for the Men’s National Team individually and collectively to continue their recent positive performance trajectory.”
Higgins continued, “I would again like to acknowledge the work of the interim head coach, James Pamment, who has worked very well with the playing squad and support staff over the past few months and guided us to our current position at the top of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 with an extremely well fought victory against Scotland yesterday.”
The response to the recent job adverts for the roles of Cricket Operations Director, Cricket Operations Manager and Development Manager (all of which closed last Friday) has been overwhelmingly positive and USA Cricket will be completing those processes and announcing the new appointments in the coming weeks.
Higgins concluded, “The USA Cricket Board is building something very exciting here in the USA and we believe that consistently high and improving performance across all of the national teams (Men, Women and Youth) is an extremely important part of the overall objective. Based on informal discussions and approaches that I have had over the past couple of months about coaching positions generally and the interest in the recently advertised roles, I anticipate a similarly positive reception from around the world in respect of this latest advert.”
As indicated in the job advert, it is presently envisaged that the role will be a full-time appointment based at USA Cricket’s HQ in the San Francisco Bay Area. The deadline for all applications is 31 December 2019.
